Cultural Intelligence: A Quick Introduction. Amazing Apprenticeships for National Inclusion Week
‘Cultural intelligence’ is one of those terms that we hear a lot, but that most people don’t fully understand. What does it really mean? How is it different from cultural sensitivity? Why does it matter to businesses?
Because it does – or at the very least, it should. Far from just another buzzword, cultural intelligence (or cultural quotient, often abbreviated to ‘CQ’) is a term used to describe the ability to relate to and work effectively in culturally diverse situations.
It can be used to describe a business or an individual, and it has massive implications for diversity and inclusion.
Our Employer Relationships Manager, Tom Pritchard, was asked to record a quick introductory session on cultural intelligence for this year’s National Inclusion Week. It’s only 20 minutes long, and you can view it in full below.
